RF Microneedling

RF Microneedling or, Radio Frequency Microneedling, works by applying micro-needles deep into the skin to stimulate the body’s natural production of collagen while delivering radio-frequency heat energy to help remodel collagen and elastin. This process is used to tighten and lift to reveal a refreshed and rejuvenated skin. Here at Luminess Med Spa, we offer two types of RF Microneedling services—Morpheus8 and Virtue RF as described below. When combined with CoolPeel, you can achieve even greater results.

Morpheus8

Morpheus8 is an FDA approved minimally invasive bipolar radio frequency (RF) tissue treatment. Designed by InMode Aesthetics, Morpheus8 delivers deep fractional treatments, penetrating sub dermal tissue up to 8mm. With dual hand pieces, Morpheus8 can treat small areas and larger areas along the body.

Virtue RF

Virtue RF is also an FDA approved skin rejuvenation treatment. With three unique hand pieces, the treatment can be customized according to your goals. The procedure is a non-invasive and virtually painless option to visibly improve the skin with little to no downtime.

What are the benefits?

RF Microneedling introduces new collagen into the face, a key component of combatting aging symptoms. It can help eliminate stretch marks by breaking up the scar tissue and fibrous tissue, firming the skin in the meantime. It is commonly used to treat:

  • Fine lines

  • Wrinkles

  • Stretch marks

  • Appearance of large pores

  • Acne scars

  • Scars from injury or surgery

  • Hyperpigmentation

  • Loose or sagging skin

  • Cellulite

  • Fat accumulation beneath chin

  • Jowling at the jawline

Know before you go

Refrain from RF needling if you are currently using Accutane, an active cold sore, skin infection, pregnant, or have a history of poor wound healing. This treatment requires little downtime and recovery.

Immediately after your treatment, your skin will resemble a mild sunburn, but the redness only lasts about 2-3 days for most patients. In the meantime, try to avoid strenuous activity and applying any makeup to the skin. Do, however, apply SPF and avoid direct sunlight.
